finished!

Well, almost.

I just had MY LAST CLASS of the semester; all that stands between me and summer vacation is a quiz (who does that?!) and the FINAL.  This weekend = massive amounts of studying.

Look!  It’s a lunchable:

My mom never bought those for us as kids (she was far too healthy for that–I swear I was the first kid ever to eat brown rice and whole-wheat pancakes…), and now I can only thank her for it 🙂

Sahlen’s ham from Wegmans, 1.5 slices light swiss cheese, an apricot fruit cup packed in juice (total impulse buy) and no-salt-added vegetable juice (another impulse purchase).  It’s a light lunch; I’m headed out to East Aurora to run an errand and then get some coffee at Firefly Cupcakes (french press!) and take advantage of the quiet atmosphere for some studying.  When I need a snack (and change of scenery!), I think I’ll head over to Taste, since they have healthier options on their menu…

Not that I don’t like cupcakes, Wendy!  But, this Bible study is teaching me to tame my sweet tooth…  (If I lose all resolve and a cupcake JUST CALLS TO ME, I’ll just eat half.)

three for three

Long time no blog! It’s the last week of school before my (only, thank goodness) final, what can I say?
Here I am, at Orchard Perk here in the OP village:

And. Can you guess what I’m doing?

Yup, you got it. Chemistry. Exam is in T-minus three days… Over the past two semesters, I’ve learned I have REMOVE myself from the house to get any studying done. Otherwise, I’d find something to bake, or kill the dog and cats.
So, yesterday it was Panera. The day before was Starbucks.
What do you think, folks? Should I make it four and go to Taste tomorrow? (Or the Starbucks in Target…I’m almost out of eye makeup remover.)

two down

Because it’s bloody hot here today…

And because I’m finished with TWO of my three classes now…

…I thought a little treat was in order.

Actually, I had every intention of having an iced coffee this afternoon since I didn’t bring one to class. I stopped at Orchard Perk on the way home and got a cup of already-chilled joe, and picked up one of their teeny-tiny 25-cent cookies. Nutella flavor-yum! And just one.

I am having a bit of a personal dilemma though; I don’t have to take the stats final, which is why I said I was finished with two of my classes earlier. I have a 99% in the class, and the final is worth an amount that would allow me to keep an A without taking it. And since ECC doesn’t do A+’s, a 99% is the same as a 90% in terms of one’s GPA. All this to say, it’s killing me to know my average in stats will drop from a 99 to a 90.6 by not taking the final, but I’m so ready to be done. And I already have an A. And let’s not forget about Chemistry…

What is an overachiever to do???
