Cranberries…Not Just with Thanksgiving Dinner

With Turkey Day fast approaching, I have all the sides on my mind.  I used to bring half a dozen dishes to my in-laws’ house so that I could enjoy all the sides I loved as a kid.  However, in recent years I’ve finally realized I DO NOT HAVE TIME to make all of them, especially with the Turk-EA Trot and now a kiddo taking up most of my time and energy these days.  So, I usually just end up bringing sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top, which might be my all-time favorite Thanksgiving side.

Preparing for Thanksgiving Leftovers

Thanksgiving is almost—gasp!—upon us, and I AM NOT PREPARED.  (I’ve been up to my elbows planning a little race called the Turk-EA Trot—heard of it?)  Thankfully, I’m not hosting, but I still always want to make ‘my own’ Thanksgiving FOR THE LEFTOVERS.   I didn’t appreciate how much I would miss my favorite childhood dishes now that we spend Thanksgiving at my in-laws’ house.  Apparently, as a kid I naively thought everyone served the exact same food on Thanksgiving.  Not so.
