too much of a good thing?

Heck no!

I found myself at Starbucks (this time at the one in Target) after swim practice for breakfast… Oatmeal (again), with a tangerine from home and another coffee–this time the new Veranda roast. Yum!

I was über-productive yesterday! My whole-wheat sandwich loaf turned out perfectly (hallelujah!), my Texas sheet cake tasted great (I might have gone out of control with the sampling) and I spring-cleaned the heck out of the house. Let’s just say the amount of hair I removed was criminal.

I’m running some quick errands this morning before heading back to make more bread ( this time a fruit and nut loaf for dinner) and tackle some school work.

….and I might make some granola bars…

…almost there!

ONE Chemistry homework problem stands between me and FREEDOM.  That, and a swim practice, Chem tutoring, statistics class, packing the car and dropping the dog off, but those are peanuts compared to Chem.  PEANUTS.

Case-in-point:  I spent TWO HOURS on ONE problem at the Chem tutoring lab yesterday.  TWO HOURS.

I got through the Micro test alright–got an 86%–which isn’t bad, but I’m not happy with it.  I really thought I knew the material better.  This test was all about different antibiotics and disinfectants and how they work.  Of course, two of the three questions I missed on the last test the teacher admitted were “a bit tricky,” so it’s all in her wording.  Nice to know I understand the material, but I really would have liked a higher grade.  Oh well, I’ll take it.

Probably won’t be able to blog this weekend…  I’m already fantasizing about Friday after everyone leaves to ski and I get the house (almost–I know of at least one other non-skier) all to myself to read magazines and study Chemistry.  I wonder what it’s like to do those things when I actually have TIME.

Oh, and if you haven’t been to the East Aurora Co-op’s blog for awhile, I’ve posted a bunch of new stuff!  I was particularly proud of my Flu-Fighter post–be sure to read it!

two things

On the up side, I rocked my Micro test with a 94%, which as of yesterday at 5 p.m. as she was grading them, was the highest of all her sections.  SCORE!

On the downside, I ended my day yesterday with not one but TWO (albeit small) bowls of ice cream.  I started with Jeni’s uber-fudgy Chocolate Peppermint, leftover from one of our trip to Ohio, and then went back for more and chose some of Andrew’s Perry’s Vanilla Bean, topped with hot fudge, whipped cream and two cherries.

It’s been that kind of week, and there is no stopping until I finish my Chem homework by Friday and online Chem quiz sometime this weekend…
