Thanksgiving 2021

The Turk-EA Trot keeps us in town each year for Thanksgiving, and we enjoyed a visit from Abigail and her family this year as well.

Adding the Johnsons to the table made 14–a record high for Layer family gatherings.

Maelle and her cousin, Nora, are almost the same age, and they had a great time playing together.

As is our tradition, we cut down our Christmas tree that weekend, and even had a little snow on the ground to enjoy while doing so.

Maelle enjoyed wondering around the trees, playing on Duff Bushway’s tire swing, and eating a candy cane on the way home.

We stopped at the Bar Bill for lunch afterward. We especially love going to the Bar Bill on snowy afternoons–it’s so cozy and warm inside. I love the cinnamon-sugar rim they do for their Christmas ales!

I think it was Maelle’s first time at the Bar Bill, and we had a great time bringing her there. Hopefully there will be many more trips in the future!
