This January might have been the busiest month we’ve ever had. With Andrew’s surgery and the beginning of our house project fast approaching, Andrew squeezed in as much work travel as he could. He was out of town for three of the four weeks, and I was starting to pack up our downstairs in preparation for moving out. I don’t think I sat down all month.

grandpa jimmy’s 85th birthday
We headed back to DC earlier this month for my grandfather’s 85th birthday. We wouldn’t normally make the drive twice in a month’s time, but we really wanted to make sure we were there. I’m so glad we went; we enjoyed the party and seeing family, as well as spending time with my brother, Josh, and his family.

Mom-life has me crazy busy, yet feeling incredibly unproductive at the same time. Can anyone relate?? I feel like I have all this ‘time’ to plan meaningful activities with Maelle and invest in something for myself, yet I struggle to find a chance to sit AT ALL during the day until after bedtime. By then, all I’m interested in doing is watching Netflix with Andrew.
