all used up

Remember when I used up all my ink in a matter of weeks last semester??

After numerous calculations, I’ve worn all my erasers down to the end, which necessitates one of two things:

1. Buy more pencils.

2. Raid Andrew’s stash of giant, adjustable eraser “thing-a-ma-jigs” from college.

(While I wouldn’t normally be so hesitant to update my pencil collection, I happen to LIKE all my pencils and don’t feel like spending the money on new ones.)

So…

…I’ve now stocked my backpack and both pencil cups with these giant things.  And I used to think they were only for engineers.  I’ve gone to the dark side.

Now, as long as I don’t start using his fancy-schmancy metal “engineer” mechanical pencils (he has about a gazillion, seriously), I think I’ll be OK…

a great start to the weekend

My pseudo-dinner:

I saw the “hummingbird” cupcake on Swirls’ Facebook page and had to have one. I love hummingbird cake! It’s a southern thing… (not that I’m 100% southern or anything.)
Anyway, I am on Main Street to take pictures for an article and a manicure (Andrew’s treat!), before heading over to Tantalus for a co-op mingling “happy hour” event. I don’t like drinking on an empty stomach, and I have some time to kill before Andrew meets me there, so I figured i’d get a snack beforehand. The addition of the milk takes this from pure sugar to something that might actually help fill me up.

Glad I brought my micro notes to study!

lunch outside

I was actually a little chilly inside, so I took my lunch out to the picnic table in the back.

Look at all the pretty colors! Veggies, homemade hummus and homemade pita wedges, fresh from the oven. A side of sweet potato-applesauce mash and two squares of dark chocolate. Yum!

I have a stats test in less than an hour!

…and the little guy came along, too.
