a list: what we’ve been up to this winter

Mom-life has me crazy busy, yet feeling incredibly unproductive at the same time. Can anyone relate?? I feel like I have all this ‘time’ to plan meaningful activities with Maelle and invest in something for myself, yet I struggle to find a chance to sit AT ALL during the day until after bedtime. By then, all I’m interested in doing is watching Netflix with Andrew.

what we’ve been up to: a list

I haven’t written a list in awhile! Life with a toddler is busy, and this time of year always feels a little slow. Winter creeps by at a snails’ pace, and Spring still seems so far off. Every day feels a bit like ‘Groundhog Day’ (Hey! It’s TODAY!), repeating the same pattern of wake, play, lunch, nap, play, dinner. But, I love being home and find the bright spots among the mundane tasks.

Tips for Traveling While Pregnant

After eight or nine trips overseas, Andrew and I are pretty seasoned travelers.  With each trip, we learn something new that will improve our experience, such as having the right footwear or packing less and keeping our bags light.  When we first started traveling in 2007, we didn’t dream of buying toiletries in-country and the thought of renting a car didn’t even cross our minds.  Now, we don’t think anything of popping into a pharmacy for toothpaste (In fact, it’s fun!) and we can’t imagine NOT having our own vehicle, at least for part of any trip.  But, this year’s voyage across the ocean was going to be a little different with me being pregnant (into my third trimester), and I wanted to be as prepared as possible.
