Yet again, we had a record turn out for this year’s Turk-EA Trot! A total of 422 individuals crossed the finish line, up from about 330 last year. The growth of our race is truly phenomenal, and I’m already excited to start planning next year’s event…after a little break for Christmas, of course!

This year went a bit better than last year, as we’d done an early packet pick-up and worked the kinks out of the registration table. Runners were lined up on time, and after I said a few words and played the National Anthem, they were off!

The Turk-EA Trot draws a ton of young kids, so we’re hoping to do even more awards for the younger age groups next year.

We had great prizes this year! Pies donated by the Blue Eyed Baker here in town and gift certificates donated from Runner’s Roost for our overall winners, plus engraved cutting boards for our Masters Winners.

Our Best Costume award went to ‘The Leftovers’ this year, which we all thought was pretty creative.

Yet again, we were able to donate $5,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora. We’re happy to partner with them again for the event, and to support what they do for the kids in our community.
Can’t wait for next year!
