Easter this year felt a little abbreviated; we celebrated one day early at my parents’ house because we were to fly out that night to LONDON! (But that’s another blog entirely.)
The dining room table was covered in baskets, full of goodies for adults and children alike. My mom gave Maelle and baby Jack their own baskets, and Maelle got her own gardening tools! They came in handy a couple weeks later 🙂
I love putting Easter baskets together. Andrew and I have been giving each other baskets since we got married, and it’s even more fun now that Maelle isn’t a baby anymore. She got a book, a hardboiled egg stuffy (!!!), mini Teleties (stashed in that white plastic egg) and some ‘thin’ Bombas socks. And, of course, fun band-aids. I gifted Andrew a pair of Bombas, too, and some white chocolate. My mom filled baskets with sugary waffles (straight from Belgium!), Peeps and Ritter Sport chocolates.
Later that afternoon, we had an egg hunt in my parents’ backyard with my cousin, Douglas, and his kids. Maelle loved finding the eggs, eating the jelly beans, and posing with the pink inflatable bunny.
