We had another great event this year!
As usual, after months of pulling my hair out and trying not to stress about all the details, the Turk-EA Trot turned out record numbers (710 finishers!) and was a resounding success!

The morning drizzle didn’t keep anyone away!

One of my favorite things about the race is our prizes: wooden medals for age-group awards, handmade cutting boards for masters’ winners, Runners Roost gift cards for overall winners and Blue-Eyed Baker pies for overall winners and best costume winners.

I love that each year more and more people dress up in costume for the race! This year, my neighbor (far right, riding on a snowman’s shoulders) won the award.

Because of our generous sponsors, we were able to donate $8,000 to our local Boys and Girls Clubs, one in EA and one in Elma.
I’d say ‘I can’t wait until next year!’ but I’d be lying. It’s so much work, and I thoroughly enjoy the few months I take off before starting up the planning again in May or June.
