Just kidding, we were digging for fossils!
In late August, we joined our friends Nicole and Maya Murphy for a visit to Penn Dixie, a fossil park and nature preserve just next door in Hamburg!
We had a great time digging and looking for fossils of undersea creatures, with varied success–ha! Most of the fossils look like shells and little cones, or imprints in a stone. We definitely found some, but nothing of note…I’m not even sure I took a photo!
Penn Dixie was fun, and on a good-weather day, it makes a great field trip!
