Maelle lost a (second!) tooth

Hopefully this will be it for awhile??? She’s awfully young to have lost a tooth–let alone two–and both were related to trauma. Although, with how active our girl is, it wouldn’t surprise me if ALL her teeth came out after bumps and face-plants!

Maelle lost her first tooth at Christmastime, and soon after the other little tooth next to it seemed to get a little softer but not wiggle-worthy.

And then she took a bite of one of those Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars. Those things are HARD! It was about two weeks ago, and it must have gotten that tooth in just the right spot, because it went from ‘fine’ to ‘almost out’ in an instant.

We endured the wiggly-tooth excitement/drama for a few days, and she finally asked me to take it out before bed one evening. She was so brave, I was so honored she’d trust me with that, and I’m SO THANKFUL it was (yet again) a good experience.

You can even see the permanent tooth next to it is halfway in already! And, just days after losing the second, the next permanent tooth is already visible. I guess she won’t be a snaggle-tooth after all. (At least not with the ones on the bottom.

Andrew found this cute little tooth tin on our recent trip to Alexandria, and I’d say it was pretty timely.
