The day after we returned from our big September beach trip, Maelle started preschool! She’s in a combined 3-and-4-year-old class, and the older kids stay a bit later for more activities and lunch. She loves learning, her classmates and her teachers.

Each week they learn a different letter and number, as well as play games and do crafts. Her first field trip is coming up in mid-October!
She also learned to ride a bike! She spent the last year on her balance bike, and was able to move to a two-wheeled bike without training wheels pretty seamlessly. Andrew and I saw balance bikes in Europe well before they were popular here, and I’m so glad we went that route.

Maelle started out on a hand-me-down bike from another kid, but I sprang for a Guardian bike after my bestie raved about them. Maelle was already able to ride, but the lighter frame of the new bike made getting herself started so much easier. We have a paved track across the street from our house, which made teaching her to ride so much easier. So excited for family bike rides next summer!
